Learn How to Shop Dorsey
Dorsey Metrology's Webstore offers customers the ability to customize a Dorsey Gage to their exact needs as well as quickly shop popular standard products. Below is a brief description of each section of the shop to allow you make your shopping experience with Dorsey both enjoyable and efficient
Completely customize your Dorsey gage to meet your job's exact needs by using Dorsey's "Build Your Own Gage" feature
The build your own gage feature allows customers to start with their favorite Dorsey product and customize their gage by choosing different styles, configurations, indicators, gaging depths, ranges, and contacts. The gages are made to order so lead times can vary significantly. To order a build your own gage product, simply select a gage from the build your own gage drop-down navigation and begin selecting the customization's necessary for your gage. When you are finished customizing your gage you may proceed to checkout. Once the order for a custom gage is received by Dorsey, the Dorsey team will assess the lead time on your gage and notify you of the estimated delibery time within 2 business days. If the lead time does not fit your schedule simply cancel your order within 30 days of our email notifying you of your delivery time and you will receive a full refund. If you cancel your order after the 30 days you will be charged a 15% restocking fee.
*Please note that your credit card will be charged at the time of the order.
Shop your favorite standard products using Dorsey's "Quick Shop" feature
Unlike the build your own gage feature that allows customers to choose the exact gage with a variation of customization options, the quick shop feature will allow you to quickly browse or search our most popular standard products. These products will have quicker lead and processing times allowing you to get your gage faster.
A few tips to making your Quick Shop experience even quicker:
1) Use the search function if you know the exact Dorsey part number of a gage you are trying to order. Simply type the part number into the search bar at the top right of the webstore and your result should appear and you should be able to go directly to this gage by clicking on it's picture. If it does not appear, proceed with the search and you can compare the results to further narrow down your options (see tip 3).
2) Use the drop down navigation at the top of the page to narrow down your product search if you are unsure of the exact product part number. The more you can narrow down the criteria in the drop downs the easier it will be to find the exact gage you need.
3) Use the "compare" function to quickly differentiate between your search or navigation results. Start by checking the compare box of up to four gages you wish to compare. Once the gages are selected, click the "compare selected" button at the bottom of the page. This will allow you to quickly identify the differences between each gage in this product or search category. To proceed with one of your selected options simply click on the product picture or part number.
